Job Opportunity: Summer Internship (Internship) / Emerging Leaders Program (Full-time)
Are you looking for an internship that provides real world business experience? During GEICO's 8 - 10 week paid summer internship program, you'll gain first-hand knowledge of our dynamic industry, work on meaningful projects, and have opportunities to network with managers and directors. This full-time program is designed to educate, stimulate and develop future business leaders.
You'll work with a team of interns in one of our regional offices – either Virginia Beach or Fredericksburg, Virginia. There, you will be assigned a mentor from senior management and take part in several individual and group projects. Assignments will offer you the opportunity to research insurance industry trends, analyze current business procedures, identify solutions to business issues and improve processes, propose new strategies for growing and retaining our business, deliver presentations to management, develop marketing plans, and even meet our CEO during a two-day leadership summit.
As an Emerging Leader in the operations management track, you will have opportunities to make real contributions to GEICO's bottom line. You'll work one-on-one with your mentor, and interact with senior executives and all levels of associates. We'll teach you the ins and outs of our industry-leading company, while you gain hands-on leadership experience. Throughout your program, you will have the great fortune to experience various aspects of our operations, including sales, customer service, claims, underwriting and planning. A typical day will depend on the discipline in which you are currently working!
