What do you wish you had known about the Career Center early on at Duke?

I wish I had known about all of the services offered through the Career Center as a first-year student! In particular, it would have been nice to know early on about all the resume-editing services, cover letter workshops, and counseling offered by the amazing, experienced, and kind employees of the Career Center.  It would have saved me a lot of frustration!

What do you think the Career Center's role is?

To assist students in planning their careers and outlining their goals, and then help them achieve their dreams by working on a personal and practical level with their individualized needs.

Are there any services that the Career Center provides that really stand out to you?

The resume-editing helped me a lot!  I went to the daily drop-in hours (which do not require an appointment) to meet with the Career Advising Team and was able to really improve my resume.  They were a great help!
