"The twenties are a valuable time in life. You're equipped and independent, and you have a full life ahead of you. Is it possible to live the life you want while achieving your dreams? What are your personal and professional goals? These paths don't completely line up for most of us, and the inconsistencies are the areas that complicate our lives. So here is some advice from the very best. Balance your life by focusing on long term goals which are important, rather than short term goals that appear to be urgent. Plan to live a life that you will be proud of."
Theo was faced with this problem of balancing long term goals with short term desires in selecting between job offers. As a result, he created a decision matrix that allowed him to define his goals (both long and short term), weight them by personal importance and used the system to help him select an offer that would best align with his goals:
You can download(.xls) this matrix if you would like to try it out for youself.
