Have I Got a Story For You!

Samara grew up in Richmond, Virginia and earned her B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies from Virginia Tech in 2007, concentrating in leadership and cultural studies.  As an undergraduate, she worked for a number of different offices on campus, including Admissions, Theme Housing Programs, and Career Services.  Samara attended North Carolina State University for graduate school, where she earned her M.Ed. in Higher Education Administration.  During her time as a graduate student, she held assistantship and internship roles within NC State's College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Career Services office, Women in Science & Engineering (WISE) living-learning community, and College of Management Career Resources division .  Samara also interned with Meredith College's Career Center and Wake Tech Community College before completing her degree program in 2009.

Outside of work, Samara enjoys cooking, traveling, bluegrass music, and being a leader in her professional organizations: NCCDA and NCCPA.
