On-campus Interviews and Recruiting Policies
On-campus Interviews
Employers that come to the Career Center to interview students for internship and full-time opportunities are listed in eRecruiting. Graduate students who qualify for the positions listed in the Calendar/Event Type/Interview Schedule section are encouraged to take advantage of these opportunities. The process includes the following steps:
1. Create an account on Duke eRecruiting by following these steps:
- Click on " Get Password" if you are a new user. You will be prompted to enter your NetID in this format: dukenetid
- Your eRecruiting password will be emailed to your Duke email account
- Access Blackboard's Career Center section to read the PPT info on Career Center Recruitment Policies and take the quiz. If your quiz score qualifies, you will receive full access to the eRecruiting on-campus interview process the next business day.
- If you have any questions, please call the Career Center at 919-660-1053
3. Attend employer information sessions.
4. Make an appointment to have your resume and cover letter reviewed by your counselor. Bring a copy of the position you are applying for to your appointment. You may also consult one of our peer advisors (CATS) during drop-in hours each afternoon.
5. Upload resumes and cover letters for positions of interest in Duke eRecruiting.
6. You may expect to hear from employers via e-mail if you are pre-selected for an interview.
7. Sign up for interviews via eRecruiting. Pay attention to the sign-up deadlines.
8. Before your interview with an employer representative, schedule a mock interview with your counselor. Bring copies of your resume, cover letter and job description to the mock interview.
