I.  Book-Borrowing Policy

The Career Center library has a variety of books and periodicals covering topics ranging from particular job industries and internships, to advice on resumes, cover letters, and interviewing.  While most periodicals and some books here are for onsite use only, many of the books are available for short-term checkout.
    
A.  Borrowing Books
•    Students are allowed to check out books for 7 days.
•    Students may not have more than 3 books checked out at one time.
•    Reference books are marked with a “dot” sticker on the spine and are not available for checkout.
•    Periodicals with the “Please Do Not Remove From the Career Center Resource Room” are not available for checkout.  Other periodicals with multiple copies of issues are free for students to take.
    
B.  Returning Books
•    Books are to be returned to the Career Center library in 106
Page.  There is a basket marked, “Return books here.”
    
C.  Late Policy
•    Students will receive a reminder email once items are more than 3 days overdue.  
•    If items are three weeks late or more, the student will be billed for the replacement cost of the book(s).

II.  Book-Borrowing Procedures

    
A.  Resource Room Open Hours
•    Monday – Friday, from 9am to 5:30pm
o    NOTE: The Career Center library will be closed to the public when it is being used for meetings and special events.  You can call ahead or stop by to check for time conflicts.  During semesters the resource room will always be open Monday – Thursday, from 2-5pm, and Friday, from 2- 4pm.

B.  Borrowing Procedures
•    9am – 2pm, bring books to the front desk in 110 Page to check out.
•    During Drop-in Advising check out the books with any CAT in the Career Center library (Monday-Thursday, 2-5pm & Friday, 2-4p).
