OVERVIEW
If you are an applicant for faculty positions, hiring institutions will typically expect you to send hard copies of the documents they request.
Samples of the CV are provided in this section as well as information about the content of the cover letter. You will not find samples of cover letters because an effective argument for your suitability for an particular opening should be tailored to the qualifications in each job announcement.
If you are an applicant for positions in the corporate, government or non-profit sector, you are advised to send hard copies of your application documents directly to hiring managers wherever possible—in addition to applying online to recruitment staff. Why? Large organizations screen many applicants . You want to be sure that your application is read by individuals who have requisitioned for the new hire and will make the final hiring decision.
