Duke Career Fair

The Career Fair is an opportunity to network with Duke graduates as well as other recruiting personnel. Held annually in mid-to-late September, this event brings to the Bryan Center a variety of up to 90 employer representatives, some of whom will be Duke alumni/ae who may later conduct interviews on campus. They have been chosen to return to campus to provide information about their organizations so that you will apply for positions appropriate to your interests, academic background and skills. Make sure you ask for business cards so that you can continue the relationships with alumni/ae that you begin at the Fair. Though employer representatives and alumni/ae who attend this Fair expect to meet bachelor’s candidates, they may be able to explain the opportunities and expectations for advanced degree candidates as well.

TechConnect

The two-part event, hosted by the Pratt School of Engineering, the Department of Computer Science, and the Career Center, consists of a moderated panel discussion from technology industry leaders, including a question and answer period for students to inquire about tips and techniques for searching, interviewing and choosing a job. Following the panel discussion, there will be a networking reception.  TechConnect is usually held the evening before the Duke Career Fair in mid to late September in the Fitzpatrick Center Schiciano Auditorium and Atrium.

Duke Career & Summer Opportunities Fair

The Duke Career & Summer Opportunities Fair is held annually in late January at the Bryan Center. Employer representatives (50-60) may also include alumni/ae. Some organizations offer both permanent and summer openings, but the emphasis is on summer internships.
