About Us

Duke Career Center Mission

The Career Center at Duke University provides career services of the highest standard to undergraduates, graduate students and alumni of Trinity College, the Pratt School of Engineering and the Graduate School. Working in partnership with faculty and colleagues, and recognizing that each individual has unique needs, our staff

• help students and alumni make the most of their Duke education, resources, and connections to develop career interests and values, and to find satisfying work

• build and maintain relationships with alumni and employers who can provide internships, entry level positions and opportunities for experienced professionals.

The staff of the Duke Career Center connects members of the university community so that students and alumni can receive career advice and mentoring when they need it and, in turn, help others when they are able.

Alumni Services

Alumni Career Services is a new and unique collaboration between Alumni Affairs, the Duke Alumni Association and the Career Center, which is designed to serve the career needs of alumni and students while capitalizing on the synergies between them. As part of this initiative, we offer services, including career counseling, exclusively to alumni of Trinity, Pratt and the Graduate School. We also offer additional job search tools, access to networking databases, and online web resources targeted towards recent and experienced alumni.
Alumni Mission: Develop a career community through which alumni can connect to Duke, meeting their own career needs and assisting students in finding career direction and opportunity.
